Obligation to obtain airport slot

GA/BA aircraft operators are reminded of their obligation to obtain an airport slot at all level 3 coordinated airports in Greece.
Any flight operating a portion of their flight under IFR rules with a VFR arrival still requires an airport slot at destination.
Any flight not adhering to this requirement of an airport slot will be suspended in accordance with NOTAM A1750/23.

LGRP/RHO Application of JNUS

Following recent sad developments where thousands of tourists have been evacuated as wildfires threatened and damaged some hotels mainly on the southern part of Rhodes island (RHO), we would like to inform you that cancellations / reschedules for flights that were planned to operate, will be treated as JNUS pursuant to Art. 10.4 (a) as amended, for period 22Jul - 05Aug.
HSCA will re-evaluate the situation as it evolves and extend JNUS period if the need arises.
Kindly note that all cancellations/reschedules requiring JNUS must indicate it at the SI part of the message.

H.S.C.A. is an independent, non-profit Public Entity, established by the Greek Law 3534/2007 on the 23rd of February 2007. It is managed by the Board of Directors, directly appointed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

Funding is independent, through slot fees imposition in favour of H.S.C.A. to the managing body of a coordinated or schedule facilitated airport, as well as to the air carriers for each take-off or landing slot held by the operator.

The mission of H.S.C.A., in accordance with the EU regulation 95/93 as amended by 793/2004, IATA WASG (Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines) and local rules, is to provide a professional, neutral, transparent, non-discriminatory service to the aviation industry, continuously improving quality of services and thereby to optimize the use of capacity in congested Greek Airports. H.S.C.A. is also responsible for monitoring the proper use of slots allocated to airlines in cooperation with the airports and the air navigation authorities.

Our Head Office is located at Markopoulo, Attica in modern and state-of-the-art facilities, with access to ATH/LGAV, the largest airport in Greece and an important Balkan hub, as well as the operating centers of the airlines and representatives located in the area.
