Local Rules

For the period between 01 June 2024 – 30 Sep 2024 and from 0405 (UTC) – 1925 (UTC), maximum ground time allowed for new requested flights is 120 minutes.

If significant operational disruptions in ad hoc cases result in ground time of more than 120 minutes the coordinator will allocate slots under conditions and the operation will require final approval from the airport operator.

Ground time over 120 minutes is only permitted between the hours of 1930 (UTC) – 0400 (UTC), subject to capacity of all applicable airport parameters and allocated slots (for new requests of 7 days or less prior to the operation, approval from the airport operator is also needed).

Year-round home-based carriers and GA/BA flights are excluded from the above time restrictions.

Air carriers that will not adhere to the above restrictions and procedures and hence cause prejudice to airport operations will be sanctioned according to the relevant Greek and EU regulation.
