Hellenic Slot Coordination Authority

Hellenic Slot Coordination Authority (H.S.C.A.) is an independent, non-profit Public Entity, established by the Law 3534/2007 (O.J. 40 Α’ / 23-02-2007) and currently operates under the provisions of the Law 4233/2014 (O.J. 22 Α’ / 29-01-2014). It is managed by the Board of Directors, directly appointed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

Funding is independent, through slot fees imposition in favour of H.S.C.A. to the managing body of a coordinated or schedules facilitated airport, as well as to the air carriers for each take-off or landing slot held, at the end of each charging period.

Our mission, in accordance with the EU Regulation 95/93 as amended, IATA WASG (Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines) and local rules, is to provide a professional, neutral, transparent, non-discriminatory service to the aviation industry, continuously improving quality of services and thereby to optimize the use of capacity in congested Greek Airports. H.S.C.A. is also responsible for monitoring the proper use of slots allocated to airlines in cooperation with the airports and the air navigation authorities.

The Head Office is located at Markopoulo, Attica, in modern facilities, with easy access to ATH/LGAV, the largest airport in Greece and an important Balkan hub, as well as the operating centers of the airlines and representatives located in the area.
